About- Grow your own award-winning Imperator Carrot for a sweet and tender harvest. Its slender roots grow 8 - 9 inches long with 1½ inch shoulders, tapering to a blunt end. Enjoy its deep orange flavor with every bite.
When and Where to Plant- Prefers full sun but can tolerate some shade. Will grow best in deep loose, well-drained soil. Sow directly into the garden rather than starting indoors and transplanting.
Care and Harvest- When thinning, cut plants instead of pulling them out or it may damage root systems of adjacent plants. When carrots have reached maturity, gently pull them up by the tops.
